MUSA BORDELON Found in Bordellonville, Louisiana, US, this hybrid is the hardiest of all red-striped banana plant. Might be a crossed with Sumatran Banana (Musa sumatrana ‘Zebrina’), which is a warmth loving tropical banana. The new leaf appeared gold striped and turns dark maturing, with burgundy underside. Just lovely. • • 🏴Substrate : inorganic (Lechuza PON : zeolith, lava stones, pumice). You can mix your own too. • 🏴This room humidity : 60-70% • 🏴Southeast windowsill, filtered light. • #SM_bordelon #musabordelon #bordelonbanana #musaacuminata #redstripedbanana #plantstagram #urbanjungle #indoorgarden #houseplants #tropicalplant #teamplantlove #iloveplants #plantaddict #foliage #plantcollection #plantsmakespeoplehappy #plantlife #houseplantclub #livingwithplants #plantenabler #hydroculture #selfwateringplanter #lechuzapot #lechuzaPON (not sponsored)

A plant a day no. 30 Monstera adansonii. Misting this guy has really helped it flourish. There are mixed theories on misting your plants, but mine seems to appreciate a good squirt or two! #monsteraadansonii #monstera #showertime #planterinaplantaday #plantenabler #idrinkandiknowthings #plantsofinstagram @mysuccylife @idrinkandigrowthings

🌿 may 22.2018 - It’s the first post for my new project: tripolo notebook! A botany journal is something I’ve wanted to start for a log time now. In this journal, I’ll be featuring a plant species — and exploring a couple facts about it every week. I’ll also be utilizing @tripolo_ stamps to inspire and explore creative ways to highlight the week’s plant species. So without further ado, today’s beauty is something I just planted recently: - ENGLISH PRIMROSE primula vulgaris - (It’s common name is “primrose”, but is also known as “common primrose” or “English Primrose”.) - Fact 1: Both flowers and leaves of the plant are edible, with flavour ranging from mild lettuce, to bitter salad greens. The leaves can be made into tea, and young flowers can be made into primrose wine. - Fact 2: Primroses appear in history as a charge in heraldry. An example of this is its appearance in the coat of arms of the Earl of Rosebery. - - - Identifiers: - - a basal rosette of leaves - flowers are typically pale yellow, although white or pink forms are often seen in nature - the flowers are star shaped or radial (“actinomorphic”), rotating about the center of the flower - - Thoughts & Observations: Something that really caught me eye was its ruddy looking leaves. The veins are fascinating and beautiful on the back of them, and a bit furry. The primroses I bought and planted are white, but become a deep yellow towards the center. I think they’re a bit unhappy in hot the Utah climate here. I just erected a small shade cover, so hopefully they’ll perk up. - - (There’s the first new post- hooray! By next week, I plan to start blogging on tripoloblog.blogspot.com about the different crafting techniques and supplies I use for the journal spreads, so here’s to hoping.🔅)

Don’t underestimate places like Home Depot and Walmart for some surprising plant finds! I just picked up this nice little philodendron for our new bathroom shelf! I’ve been restricted to two plants for the bathroom- but there was never any discussion about how big said plants can get 😉

Finally took the little baby pilea off of the mama plant and popped her into some water. Fingers crossed she stays happy and sprouts lots of nice roots! I was also pleasantly surprised this morning that one my younger pileas has a baby growing in the pot now too! Man I love spring, lol! . . . . . . . . #pileapropagation #pileapeperomioides #babyplants #houseplantclub #talkplantytome #house_plant_community #plantenabler #plantlady #pileapals

Update on my sweet #marantaleuconeura in her glass castle: she is growing so big and strong! I've only lost 2 leaves that turned brown and died for no discernable reason, but otherwise it's been smooth sailing. I have had to refill the bottom part maybe twice EVER since I got it in January. One weird drawback is that there's bodies of dead gnats in the water 🤢 but they're not TOO noticeable, since the rocks at the bottom hide loose dirt and some of the sunken gnats. CARE: This fancy baby lives in my office and enjoys indirect southern light from windows and the flourescent overhead lights. I have just started to see some little roots...when should I be repotting her, you think? I was feeling sad about having to put her in another pot since this one has been so pretty, but I was just at Portland Nursery on Saturday and noticed that they have a larger size of these now... 😇 Pot and plant from @portlandnursery . . . #plantgang #plantlife #houseplants #apartmentbotanist #houseplantclub #interiorrewilding #plantsmakepeoplehappy #therealhouseplantsofinstagram #urbanjungle #indoorplants #plantphotography #pflanzen #zimmerpflanzen #houseplantjournal #plantparenthood #PeopleWithPlants #ihavethisthingwithplants  #urbanjunglebloggers #botanicalwomen #girlswithplants #flauntyourleaves #idrinkandigrowthings #lifearoundplants #cheerstohouseplants #plantenabler

[🇪🇸👇🏻] I've banned myself from buying more plants (for a while) but when you find these pups with their helpless single mum for only 2€ who can resist...? ~ Me he prohibido a mi misma comprar más plantas (por un tiempo), pero cuando te encuentras a estos bebés con su desvalida madre soltera por solo 2€, ¿que haces...?

🌿I put quite a few plants outside so I rearranged the sunroom. . 🌿Left to right: Philodendron 'pink princess', my freshly trimmed and repotted Philodendron scadens (heart leaf Philodendron), and an Aloe vera. . . . . . #ohiotropics #plantenabler #botanicalguys #philodendron #philodendronscandens #heartleafphilodendron #hangingplants #aloe #aloeplant #aloevera #aloeveraplant
